Young Adult Support Worker – Transitional & Residential Settings

We are looking for friendly, caring and reliable Young Adult Support Workers to join our team and support young people within residential and transitional living settings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with young people and wants to make a genuine difference as they develop the confidence, skills and independence they need for adulthood.

The Role

As a Young Adult Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each young person's individual needs, abilities and goals.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting young adults with their daily routines and activities.
Encouraging and promoting independence and life skills.
Supporting young people with cooking, shopping, budgeting and household tasks.
Helping young adults access education, employment, appointments and community activities.
Building positive, trusting and professional relationships.
Providing emotional support and a listening ear when needed.
Supporting young adults to develop confidence and make positive choices.
Encouraging social inclusion and participation in the community.
Supporting young people with personal care where required.
Following individual support plans, risk assessments and agreed strategies.
Recognising changes in behaviour or emotional wellbeing and reporting concerns appropriately.
Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Completing accurate daily records and handovers.
Promoting safeguarding and ensuring the young person's welfare is always at the centre of your work.
Working as part of a wider team to provide consistent and high-quality support.

What we're looking for

We are looking for people who are positive, patient, approachable and genuinely enjoy working with young people.

Previous experience working with young adults is highly desirable.
